Major Bush Fire at Madhupur Creek of Diglipur

Diglipur, Feb 24: A Major Bush Fire was reported from Madhupur Creek of Diglipur this afternoon following which fire tenders of Diglipur Fire Station and Andaman and Nicobar Command, Diglipur were rushed to the spot. But as both the tenders could not bring the fire under control, fire tenders from Billyground and Mayabunder were also rushed to the Madhupur Creek area. Till the lat report poured in all four fire tenders were dousing the bush fire. “We are trying to cut off the area by removing bushes and trees with the help of excavator and we are sure this trick will work,” said a fireman to Andaman Sheekha Correspondent.
