Impact of Andaman Sheekha
Port Blair, Feb 21: The Education Department has finally upgraded the Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, Basantipur from Primary School to Middle School vide DE office Order No. 476 of dated the 7th February 2012.
Andaman Sheekha had highlighted the issue a few months back and reported how the Department of Education is delaying the up-gradation of the school.
Meanwhile the Mr. Uttam Mandal, Up-Adhyaksh, N & M Andaman Zilla Parishad, Mr. Hirenmoy Roy, Pradhan, Harinagar, Mrs. Malati Bagachi, Pradhan, Basantipur and parents of school students have expressed their gratitude towards the Education Department for up grading the school. They have also expressed gratitude towards Andaman Sheekha for taking up this issue.
