Hutbay, Apr. 23:The Block Project Office, Samagra Shiksha, in collaboration with the Education Department, Medical Team, and ICDS Project, organized a POSHAN Pakhwada at the GMSSS Hall, Hutbay. The event was held under the leadership of Shri Prabhash Roy, Block Project Officer, and Smt. Nirmal Jaya Kodi, Headmistress.
The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from approximately 50 students, including Children with Special Needs (CwSN), along with their parents. The chief guest for the event was Shri Prabhash Roy, while Smti. B. Albakka, Mukhiya Sevika, Little Andaman and Smt. Elise Reupen, Lady Health Visitor were the guests of honour. The program focused on the importance of nutrition, highlighting the health benefits of vitamins, minerals, fats, and dietary fiber, particularly for growing children and CwSN. It aimed to raise awareness about holistic health and well-being while promoting inclusivity.
Key Resource Persons, PGT Shri Shashanka Das, PST’s, Special Educators, BRP (CwSN), PSRT, ASHA Worker, Anganwadi and Coordinator Ms. Naw Jasleen also played vital roles in ensuring the success of the event.
This initiative under Samagra Shiksha reaffirms the commitment of the Education Department and allied stakeholders toward building a more inclusive, health-conscious, and empowered society.
