Sri Vijaya Puram, Feb. 12: The State Adoption Resource Agency (SARA) under Mission Vatsalya Scheme is functioning at Directorate of Social Welfare. The Specialized Adoption Agency (SAA) is dedicated to facilitating the adoption process for children in need of a prospective adoptive family. These agencies are registered with the Central Adoption Resource Agency (CARA) under Ministry of Women and Child Development for those children who are orphan, abandoned and surrendered children in community. They may be shifted in SAAs by Child Welfare Committee and District Child Protection Unit through legal proceedings with a prospective adoptive family.
Specialized Adoption Agency (SAA) is providing a comprehensive adoption services, including counseling of Prospective Adoptive Parents (PAPs), Home Study Reports, Child Profiling, matching and placement and post adoption follow up services. The details are as follows:
