Diglipur, 30 January: The much anticipated AC CUP DIGLIPUR 2025 commenced with a spectacular opening ceremony at Diglipur today. The AC CUP is being organized by the Office of the Assistant Commissioner, Diglipur in collaboration with the Department of Education and Department of Sports and Youth Affairs. The tournament promises thrilling matches and sportsmanship among the participating teams.
The grand inauguration took place in the presence of all 12 competing teams, creating an electrifying atmosphere filled with enthusiasm and anticipation. Shri Vasant Prasad Dabholkar, IAS, Assistant Commissioner, Diglipur, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, while Shri Udhay Banu Singh, Executive Engineer, APWD attended as Guest of Honor. Their presence and encouragement added prestige to the event.
The event began with Smti Solochana, Deputy Education Officer, Diglipur welcomed the gathering. In her address, she expressed gratitude to the organizers, participants and dignitaries for their support in making the tournament a grand success.
The Assistant Commissioner Diglipur addressed the players, encouraging them to compete with dedication, teamwork and sportsmanship. He wished all the teams best of luck and expressed hope that the tournament would bring out the best in young athletes, fostering a spirit of unity and healthy competition.
The ceremony was further enriched by colorful cultural performances presented by the talented school students of Diglipur zone. The vibrant performances, showcasing local tradition and artistic expressions, captivated the audience and set the perfect tone for the tournament.
With the tournament now officially underway, fans eagerly await exciting matches as teams compete for the coveted AC CUP DIGLIPUR 2025 title.
The sports event underscores Diglipur’s commitment to promoting sports and youth development, fostering unity and sportsmanship in the region. The inauguration match was played between Forest XI and Thunderbolt. The live updates of every match are updated in the Stumps app. There will be a cash award for Rupees One Lakh with the Trophy for the winning Team, while Rs. 50,000/- as cash award and Trophy will be given to the Runner-up Team, a Press Release from the Office of the Assistant Commissioner, Diglipur, said.
