Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan 05: The Office of the Sub-Registrar, South Andaman has achieved an all-time high in stamp duty and registration fee collections for December 2024, since the implementation of the online registration system on 22nd October 2019.
In December 2024, the office achieved remarkable growth in revenue collection compared to December 2023. The collections for stamp duty and registration fees are summarized in the table below:

This milestone reflects the office’s ongoing efforts to enhance public convenience and streamline the registration process. To further improve service efficiency, the number of online registration slots available for all types of deeds through the National Generic Document Registration System (NGDRS) has been increased from 8 to 12 slots per day. This enhancement aims to reduce overcrowding at the office, ease the rush for registrations, provide earlier appointment dates, ensure faster and smoother registration services and enable the timely processing and disposal of all deeds.
