Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan 03: The State Child Protection Society, under the Directorate of Social Welfare, hosted a vibrant New Year celebration at the Seva Niketan Child Care Institution, bringing smiles and hope to the children in care. The Chief Guest of the program Mr. Ravinder Kumar, Director (Social Welfare), joined the festivities, cutting the New Year cake with the children and spreading cheer as they welcomed the New Year together.
Mrs. Rehaneth Begum, Program Manager (State Child Protection Society), welcomed all attendees and emphasized the importance of such gatherings for the emotional well-being of children. “Events like these play a crucial role in fostering a sense of belonging and joy among children, especially those in need of care and protection,” she stated.
Mr. A. K. Biswas, Nodal Officer (Mission Vatsalaya) Scheme, also joined the celebration, inspiring the children with his heartfelt wishes for a bright and successful future. “I encourage all of you to pursue your dreams with courage and determination,” he said, motivating the young minds to aspire for greatness.
The celebration closed with vote of thanks delivered by Mr. A.K. Chakrabarthy, In-Charge of Seva Niketan. He expressed his deep gratitude to everyone who contributed to making the event a memorable experience for the children, with special thanks to the Director of Social Welfare for his presence and support, as well as the SCPS team for their efforts.
