Career and Vocational Guidance Programs Conducted for Students and Youth of Little Andaman

Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan 02: Under the guidance of the Employment Officer, Ms Sapna Priya, Model Career Centre, Employment Exchange conducted Career and Vocational Guidance programs for the students of class XI to XII and youth of Little Andaman from Dec.18 to 20, 2024.These initiatives aimed to empower participants with insight into various career opportunities and skill development pathways.
The vocational guidance programme was conducted at Gram Panchayat Hut Bay and career guidance at PM SHRI Govt. Sr. Sec. School R.K.Pur & Govt. Model Sr. Sec. School, Hut Bay by Mr. Dinesh Moorthy, Asst.Employment Officer. The participants were informed about emerging career opportunities, skill development courses, NCS registration and employment-oriented training programs. The sessions helped students in identifying their strengths and aligning it with their goals.
Emphasis was placed on vocational pathways for self-reliance and economic empowerment. Information about Government- supported skill development schemes were disseminated among the youth by the resource persons of Department of AH&VS, Agriculture and Fisheries.
