Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan 02: Employees Welfare Association of ICAR- Central Island Agricultural Research Institute, Sri Vijaya Puram (CARIEWA) conducted a farewell to two of its staff on December 31, 2024 at Dr. T. R. Dutta Conference Hall of the Institute. Mr. R. Dharma Rao, Skilled Supporting Staff, attained the age of superannuation while Mr. Kishore Tete, Technical Officer got transferred to the ICAR-National Institute of Secondary Agriculture, Ranchi, Jharkhand.
At the outset, Dr. Abhilash, Executive Member, CIARIEWA welcomed the Chief Guests of the event. Dr. Pooja Bohra, General Secretary, gave introduction of the Chief Guests to the house in detail. The institute employees shared their experiences and gratitude to the Chief Guests for their valuable service to the Institute and Island agriculture over the years. Dr. Jai Sunder, Chairman, CIARIEWA expressed his view and wished them for healthy, prosperous and peaceful life ahead.
The Director, ICAR-CIARI and Patron, CIARIEWA, Dr. Eaknath B. Chakurkar appreciated the contribution made by both the staff at the grass root level in building the institute. He acknowledged the role of field staff that provides the background support for conduct of various research related activities of the Institute. The Chief Guests were honored with shawl and memento as a token of love and appreciation. At the end, Mr. Shyam Prakash Narayan, Executive Member, CIARIEWA presented vote of thanks. Mr. Shyam Sundar Rao, Joint Secretary, CIARIEWA coordinated the overall conduct of the programme.
