Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan 02: A two-day capacity-building programme for Balvatika Teachers of South Andaman and Wimberlygunj zones is being organized by Samagra Shiksha, A & N Islands in collaboration with State Institute of Education, Sri Vijaya Puram. The training programme commenced today in the auditorium of Govt. Girls’ Senior Secondary School, Sri Vijaya Puram.
The inaugural session was graced by Mrs. Archana Singh, Principal of Govt. Girls’ Senior Secondary School, Sri Vijaya Puram, as the chief guest. She emphasized the importance of Balvatika teachers in developing Foundational Literacy and Numeracy among Balvatika children. She also highlighted the significance of equipping Balvatika teachers with innovative teaching strategies to enhance the overall teaching experience in Balvatika classrooms.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. S Suresh Kumar, SPO, Samagra Shiksha emphasized the importance of Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) in shaping the foundation of young learners.
Around 80 PPTs and PT-PSTs are attending the programme, which focuses on innovative methods, activity-based learning, and child-centred approaches to enhance Balvatika classes and promote holistic development of children.
