Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan 02: ITF serves as an important platform for local artists to showcase their talents as well as for keeping the cultural tradition alive. Since no stage performances could be organized till 01.01.2025 due to National Mourning, the local artists were unable to showcase their talent. Representations have been received from various stakeholders regarding allowing stalls to operate for a further period beyond 31st December, 2024, as the cancellation of stage performances in view of National Mourning has resulted in low footfall of visitors to their stalls, which has adversely affected their businesses.
Now, the A&N Administration has decided to allow Cultural performances by local artists w.e.f 02.01.2025 to 05.01.2025 at ITF Ground, Sri Vijaya Puram and on 04th & 05th January, 2025 (weekend) at Marine Esplanade as per the schedule given by Art & Culture Department.
The Stalls, Kiosks and Open spaces allotted to various Departments of A & N Administration as well as to Private Players are allowed to operate till 05.01.2025 at ITF Ground, Sri Vijaya Puram. Stalls, Kiosks and Open Spaces allotted to Private Parties shall be allowed to operate beyond 31.12.2024 till 05.01.2025 subject to submission of willingness and payment of rent as decided by the A&N Administration.
