Sri Vijaya Puram, Dec 29: Mr. Naresh Chander Lal, Padmashri Awardee and Brand Ambassador of Swachh Bharat Mission for Andaman and Nicobar Islands, visited the Government Boys Senior Secondary School, Middle Point, today to promote cleanliness and sanitation under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. During his visit, Mr. Lal interacted with the students and emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness both within the school premises and in their respective communities.
In his address, Mr. Lal encouraged the students to adopt clean habits and take responsibility for keeping their surroundings clean. He stressed that students should not only focus on cleanliness at school but also play an active role in spreading awareness about sanitation in their neighborhoods.
Furthermore, Mr. Lal urged the students to stay away from harmful substances that could negatively impact their health and future. He encouraged them to focus on their physical fitness by participating in sports and games, which contribute positively to both mental and physical well-being.
Another important point highlighted by the SBM Ambassador was the need to conserve water. He appealed to the students to adopt mindful practices regarding water usage, urging them to “save water for a better future.”
Mr. L. Suku Rajan, the Vice Principal of the school, accompanied the Swachh Bharat Mission Ambassador during the visit.
