Sri Vijaya Puram, Dec 24: The Lieutenant Governor, Andaman & Nicobar Islands has revised the Minimum Rates of Wages across 6 Schedules of Employment in addition to Govt. Departments/Offices/Industrial Establishments as mandated under the provisions of Minimum Wages Act, 1948 in the UT of A&N Islands w.e.f. 1st January, 2025. The Revised Rates of Minimum Wages are as under:-
| Category of employee | Minimum wage per day |
| Unskilled | Rs. 641.00 |
| Semi-Skilled/Unskilled Supervisory | Rs. 722.00 |
| Skilled/Clerical | Rs. 845.00 |
| Highly Skilled | Rs. 928.00 |
An order copy of revised rates of minimum wages may be downloaded from www.labour.and.nic.in. All employers of the establishments have been requested to comply with the revised rates, failing which, punitive action as per the provisions of Minimum Wages, 1948 and its Rules made thereunder shall be initiated.
