Sri Vijaya Puram, Dec 22: The Science Centre, Sri Vijaya Purarn conducted a State Level Science Project Competition for the school students studying in class Vllth toXl today. The Project /Models of the students were kept on display for public viewing. Among the displayed projects, the best three models were selected by the panel of judges. Altogether 27 projects / models from various schools in & around Sri Vijaya Puram were put on display for the competition.
Thereafter, a felicitation programme was organized in the auditorium of Science Centre to felicitate the best projects. Accordingly, the project on ‘IOT Based Food Spoilage Detecting System’ presented by Animesh Roy, Vivekananda Kendra
Vidyalaya, Lamba Line was declared as first while the ‘Soil Heat Synergy’ presented by K. Harsith of Mahatma Gandhi International School, Brookshabad secured second place and ‘Geostationary Satellite’ presented by B. Megna, Kamaraj Sr. Sec School was adjudged as third prize winner. Trophies along with cash awards of Rs. 5000/-, Rs. 3000/-, Rs. 2000/- & individual certificates were distributed to the winning students by Dr. Lalji Singh, Joint Director & Scientist, Botanical Survey of India, A & N Administration as chief guest.
The programme was coordinated by Mr.Debashis Paul, Education Officer attached to Science Centre.
