Sri Vijaya Puram, Dec 15: A workshop on the ‘Ayushman Bharat –PMJAY for people aged 70 years and above’ was organized by the State Health Agency (Implementing agency of AB-PMJAY), A & N Islands for all the Common Service Centre (CSC) owners of South Andaman today in the Conference Hall of the Directorate of Health Services, Sri Vijaya Puram.
This extended policy ensures a cashless treatment worth Rs 5 lakh to all the 70+ senior citizens, with an only eligibility criterion, that the individual must be aged 70 years and above, as determined by the age recorded in their Aadhaar Card, regardless of economic status. The elderly people enrolled under the scheme will be provided Ayushman Vay Vandana Card.
Dr. P. Lal, the Nodal Officer for AB-PMJAY, provided an overview of the card creation process for individuals aged 70 and above, outlined the eligibility criteria and also discussed key aspects of the Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) scheme. The workshop aimed to educate the CSC owners about the extended policy of Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) scheme that has included all the senior citizens aged 70 years and above across the country into the scheme.
Further, the senior citizens aged 70 years and above may enroll under the PMJAY scheme by visiting the official website – pmjay.gov.in themselves or may approach the nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) to create their ‘Ayushman Vay Vandana Card’.
