Sri Vijaya Puram, Dec 08: The two days Rajya Stariya Bal Vaigyanik Pradarshini (RSBVP-2024-25) under the banner ‘Gyanodaya’ organized by the Science Wing of Directorate of Education in collaboration with Samagra Shiksha & DESM- NCERT New Delhi concluded in the auditorium of Govt. Girls Sr. Sec. School, Sri Vijaya Puram today. The exhibition demonstrated the students’ exceptional ability to connect theoretical concepts with practical applications. These young innovators were able to show remarkable insight into addressing real-world challenges through scientific exploration.
The Secretary (Edn.) Ms. Smitha R., IAS was the chief guest of the concluding ceremony. In her brief address on the occasion, the Secretary (Edn.) appreciated the enthusiasm, dedication and interest shown by the students in participating in the State Level Exhibition which was very much reflected in their exhibits/models based on various fields of science. She also showered praise for the Education Department in organizing this event successfully and the teachers, parents & Institutions for their efforts in motivating the students to prepare the exhibits & working science model in the ‘Rajya Stariya Bal Vaigyanik Pradarshini’.
The Secretary (Edn.) expressed her happiness that the students from far flung Islands’ have also participated enthusiastically in the exhibition. She also congratulated the prize winners and students who have participated in the Exhibition and wished them a bright future ahead. She alongwith other officials gave away the prizes to the winner students of the exhibition.
Welcoming the chief guest and others present on the occasion, the Director (Edn.), Dr. Jatinder Sohal expressed happiness over the successful conduct of the Exhibition with students participating in the event with great enthusiasm. Mr. Gyan Sheel Dubey (Head of Office), Dr. Arun Pratap, Associate Professor and Dr. Lalmin, Assistant Professor, NCERT, New Delhi were also present on the occasion.
The prestigious Rolling Trophy for RSBVP 2024-25 (Gyanodaya) was awarded to the South Andaman Zone. The most Popular Award was bagged by Ms Ritika Biswas of GSSS, Tushnabad for her exhibit ‘Math Magic’ while a special award was given to Birbal Lohra, CwSN student of GSSS Vijay Nagar for his exhibit on ‘Andaman Endemic Species’.
The valedictory function ended with the vote of thanks proposed by the Deputy Driector Education (Sc.), Mr. Ram Parvesh.
