Sri Vijaya Puram, Dec 06: As part of Yuva Utsav 2024, a Declamation Competition and a Painting Competition were organized today at the Auditorium of Tagore Government College of Education (TGCE) in association with TGCE. The event saw active participation from youth, with 45 participants in the Painting Competition and 20 in the Declamation Contest.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Naresh Chander Lal, Padmashree Awardee and Swachh Bharat Ambassador, addressed the gathering on the Viksit Bharat Mission and highlighted the significant role of youth in shaping a developed India. He motivated the participants to use their talent and creativity for the nation’s progress while emphasizing the importance of cleanliness and civic responsibility.
The Declamation Contest was judged by Dr. Nripendra Singh, Dr. Ch. Hemanta, a renowned multilingual scholar and National Literature Awardee 2024, and Smti Shabnam Singh, a social activist. The Painting Competition was evaluated by Dr. Rakha Vaidaiy, A. Shivini Rao, and Mr. D. Dilleswar Rao, all acclaimed artists. The judges provided valuable feedback to the participants, appreciating their creativity and skill.
The program began with Mr. Sukh Ranjan Biswas, DD (OSD) with additional charge of Nehru Yuva Kendra, Sri Vijaya Puram, welcoming the Chief Guest with a traditional shawl and explaining the aims and objectives of Yuva Utsav, which seeks to empower youth and foster leadership. Mr. Gopal Ch. Biswas of Nehru Yuva Kendra coordinated the event and proposed vote of thanks.
The celebration served as a platform to inspire and engage young talent, fostering a sense of responsibility and creativity toward nation-building.
