Sri Vijaya Puram, Dec 06:The Andaman and Nicobar Islands have once again set a benchmark in excellence, claiming the top position (98.47%) among Union Territories in the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems (CCTNS) PRAGATI Dashboard for October 2024. This marks the seventh time this year that the Union Territory has achieved this distinction, reflecting its unwavering commitment in enhancing digitization in policing.
This system is administered by the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), New Delhi. The CCTNS is a flagship initiative of the Ministry of Home Affairs and is regularly monitored by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India through the PRAGATI Dashboard. This national platform evaluates the performance of States and Union Territories in managing crime data, underscoring their efficiency, commitment, and progressive strides in crime prevention and detection.
