Training Programme Promotes Women’s Role in Gram Sabha Decision-Making

Port Blair, Dec 05: A Block-Level Training Programme on ‘Promoting Women’s Participation in the Decision-Making Process in Gram Sabha’ was successfully organized at the Conference Hall of Gram Panchayat, Rampur, under the Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA). This initiative aimed to empower women and ensure their active engagement in grassroots governance.
The programme began with a warm welcome address by Miss Anindita Dutta, Extension Officer, who emphasized the importance of the occasion in building inclusive governance. This initiative highlights a step toward achieving gender equity and enhancing women’s roles in local governance.
