Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov 29 :On 26/11/2024, a team from OP Ferrargunj under PS Ograbraj successfully executed a rapid and efficient operation in the Caddlegunj jungle, confiscating a significant quantity of illicit lehan.
Acting swiftly on intelligence received, ASI Abdul Salam, I/c OP Ferrargunj formed a team comprising HC/Khokan Duuta, PC/ V M Shahid & PC/Samsuddin executed a proactive operation. They successfully confiscated a substantial 165 liters of illicit lehan along with utensils and timber materials used in its production. All confiscated items were promptly destroyed, dealing a significant blow to the illegal liquor manufacturing network.
The entire operation was conducted under the leadership of SI Devanand Pathak, SHO PS Ograbraj under the command of Shri. Brij Mohan Meena, DANIPS, SDPO Bambooflat and overall supervision of Smti. Niharika Bhatt, IPS, Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District.
The general public is urged to play an active role in maintaining law and order by promptly reporting any instances of crime or illegal activities to police at 100, 112 & 03192-250525. The identity of the informant will be kept secret.
