Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov 27: Every year World AIDS Day is observed on 1st December. The day gives an opportunity for people around the globe to unite in the fight against HIV/AIDS, support those affected. Each World AIDS Day focuses on a specific theme, and this year’s theme is Take the Rights Path. This World AIDS Day is a call to action to protect everyone’s health by protecting everyone’s rights.
To observe this day, a Motorbike rally of Community, Youth and ANACS Staff will be organized on 01.12.2024 (Sunday) at 09:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. from Andaman Club Opp. Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Stadium. Approximately 40-50 motorbike riders are expected to participate.
Route: Start from Andaman Club to Cellular Jail, Clock Tower, Bengali Club, Cooperative Bank, Phonyx Bay Power House, Chatham Police Station, Haddo Junction, Delanipur Junction, Prem Nagar Junction, Goalghar, Junglighat, School Line, Dollygunj, Bathu Basti, Patthar Gudda, Austinabad, Carbyns Cove to Andaman Club (45 Kms total).
The bike rally will also be accompanied by an Information, Education and Communication (IEC) Van which will disseminate awareness messages on HIV & AIDS through mike and PA system throughout its route.
Further, in the evening ANACS will be conducting Flash mobs at Junglighat vegetable Market in the morning and flag point in the evening hours.
