Sri Vijaya puram, Nov 24: The Andaman Nicobar Chess Association conducted the A & N State selection trial for U13 and U9 National Chess Championship 2024 on 23.11.2024 at Chinmaya Mission, Police Line, Sri Vijaya Puram.
The Tournament was inaugurated by Acharya Suddhananda Saraswati, Chinmaya Mission, who made ceremonial first move on the top board against V K Nuhaan Siddique, the youngest chess player of the event in presence of Mr. Yamin from News Andaman 24 x 7 who graced occasion as a guest of guest of honour.
Around 140 chess players participated in this event enthusiastically in which the following players have been selected to represent A & N Islands in the forthcoming National U13 and U09 chess Championship 2024 scheduled to be held in West Bengal and Maharashtra respectively in the month of December 2024.

The closing ceremony was graced by Mr. Tanveer Singh, Vice President, Andaman Nicobar Chess Association, as the Chief Guest, with Acharya Suddhananda Saraswati. They distributed trophies and certificates to the winners.
All selected players have been notified to submit their consent letters for participation in the National Championships by 25th November 2024, 5:00 PM. Consent can be submitted via WhatsApp at 9434293379 or in person at the ANCA Chess Centre, Dairyfarm.
