Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov 24: On 18/11/2024, a report of a missing minor girl was received at PS Billiground. The girl had been missing since the night of 17/11/2024. Recognizing the gravity of the situation, SHO PS Billiground, Sub-Inspector M.V. Shiju Kumar, constituted a team comprising ASI Diana, ASI (IRBn.) Rajini Babu, HCs Amrita Bawali, Pradeep Kr. Kindo, PCs Mohd. Mustafa, Grick Charles and Abhijeet Mondal.
By utilizing advanced technological tools such as live location tracking and Call Detail Record (CDR), the team launched an extensive search operation. After meticulous efforts and significant resources, they traced the location of an unknown person who was seen near the vicinity of the missing girl to be in Laxmipur area at Diglipur. The information was promptly shared with SHO PS Diglipur Inspr. Vijay Kumar who mobilized his team, consisting of HC Sanjit Madhu and LPC Soma to assist the operation.
Swiftly acting on intelligence, the team identified a sheltered house and conducted a raid and successfully traced out the missing girl. However, the accused, who had allegedly befriended the minor and lured her to Laxmipur, fled into the dense forest in an attempt to evade arrest.
Determined to bring the victim to justice, a large-scale overnight search operation was conducted and the jungle was cordoned off. Subsequently, the accused was eventually apprehended. The minor girl has been safely reunited with her family.
The commendable teamwork and swift response by PS Billiground with crucial support from PS Diglipur, ensured the recovery of the missing minor girl within 24 hours of the FIR registration.
The entire operation was carried out under the vigilant supervision of Mr. Ankesh Yadav, DANIPS, SDPO Rangat and the overall supervision of Ms. Geetanjali Khandelwal, IPS, Superintendent of Police, N&M Andaman District.
