Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov 14: The Director General of the National Cadet Corps (NCC), LIEUTENANT GENERAL GURBIRPAL SINGH, PVSM, AVSM, VSM, on the second day of his two day visit to the A&N NCC Units under the TN P&AN Directorate, visited Diglipur where also NCC training is conducted. As part of the Social Service and Community Development Activity, he witnessed the beach clean-up undertaken by cadets of GSSS, Diglipur & GSSS, Kalighat. He was highly impressed and appreciated the enthusiasm of the cadets. The General Officer interacted with the cadets and motivated them to work hard to achieve their goals. He also felicitated the NCC Caretaker Officer of GSSS Kalighat with a medallion for his efforts in training cadets. This marks the first visit by a Director General, NCC to Diglipur and the visit has greatly motivated all the NCC Staff in the region. On return to Sri Vijaya Puram, he addressed the NCC Cadets at the JNRM, College and took on questions from the Cadets. He urged the cadets to be proud of their Nation and Work hard towards Nation Building. He was very happy to see a large number of Cadets keen to join the Armed Forces. He assured that improvements in training of the Cadets would be the focus. He awarded the DGNCC Commendation Card to one Girl Cadet, Two plaques each to an Army and Naval Cadet and a Medallion to the Associate NCC Officer of the JNRM College, for their all round performance in NCC.
