Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct 06: The prestigious 37th National Under-11 Chess Championship 2024 is currently underway at the GMC Balayogi Indoor Stadium, Gachibowli, Hyderabad, Telangana. This seven-day event, running from 4th to 10th October 2024, has attracted around 650 young chess prodigies from across India, showcasing their talents in the classical format of the game.
Among the participants, seven promising players from the Andaman & Nicobar Islands are proudly representing the union territory. These talented players include AFM Shrihaan Karmakar of KV 2, A Sharad of Sagritara School, J S Virat of VKV Lambaline, R Siddharth of Saraswati Shishu Mandir, Y Rushil of PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1, Krishnapriya B Rajesh of Sagritara School, and Parnita of Carmel Sr. Sec. School, Port Blair.
This event provides a crucial opportunity for the young chess talents from Andaman & Nicobar Islands to gain national-level experience and earn recognition for their efforts. The Andaman Nicobar Chess Association extends its best wishes to the participants and confident that they will make the islands proud with their performances.
