Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct 03: The Nicobar District has proudly been awarded the ISO 9001:2015 certification, a significant milestone that highlights the district’s commitment to quality management within its administrative framework. This prestigious recognition underscores the district’s dedication to delivering high-quality public services and maintaining operational excellence.
In a formal ceremony held on October 1, 2024, Mr. Keshav Chandra, IAS, Chief Secretary of A&N Islands, virtually hand over the certification to Ms. Joyti Kumari, IAS, Deputy Commissioner of Nicobar. This event not only celebrates the achievement of the district administration but also promises enhanced service delivery and accountability to the community it serves.
The following offices within Nicobar District have received this esteemed certification:
1. Deputy Commissioner Office, Nicobar District
2. Assistant Commissioner Office, Nancowry
3. Assistant Commissioner Office, Campbell Bay
4. Tehsildar Office, Campbell Bay
The ISO 9001:2015 standard is globally recognized and emphasizes various aspects of quality management, ensuring organizations consistently meet customer and regulatory requirements. The successful attainment of this certification reflects the district administration’s efforts to streamline processes and improve service quality across multiple departments.
In its continuous quest to enhance service delivery, the District Administration has implemented several new systems that make accessing services easier for the public as well as reduced the challenges of cut off Islanders.

3. Online Hall Ticket/Accommodation Booking System – Simplifying the process for residents and visitors.
