Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept 22: As part of Swachhata Hi Sewa campaign started from 17th September 2024 to 02nd October 2024 under the theme “Swabhav Swachhata- Sanskar Swachhata” launched by the Secretary (RD/Panchayat) on 17/09/2024. Accordingly, Gram Panchayat Shivapuram organizing various activities to reaffirm the Administration’s steadfast commitment to foster cleaner and healthier environment with the objective to “#Garbage Free Island”, “#Clean and Green Islands”.
In this connection, two CTU (Cleanliness Target Unit) sites were identified one at Panchawati beach and other at Padmanabhapuram ek number Bridge. Accordingly, two mass cleanliness drive was conducted at both the sites under the leadership of Mr. Venkateswar Rao, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat Shivapuram with the active support of all the PRI members, youths, sanitation and Panchayat staff, Anganwadi workers, Agriculture staff, Forest staff and ANM. Total 69 No. bags approximately 300 kg) of garbage collected which consist of glass and plastic bottle which were transported to SWM cluster for further processing and transportation for re-cycling.
