Port Blair, Aug 20: The Physiotherapy Unit, CRC A&N Islands organized a comprehensive parent training program focused on nutrition and health management for children with disabilities. The event was held at Seminar Hall of CRC A&N, Brookshabad, marking a significant step towards supporting families and enhancing the well being of children with disabilities.
The gathering was addressed by Smti Sumithamol, Director, CRC A&N. Shri T.Y. Abid, Lecture, Physiotherapy, CRC A&N spoke on importance of nutrition and health management for children with disabilities while Smti. Sariga Varma, Dietician, Directorate of Social Welfare, A&N Administration highlighted about gluten free and casein free diet for children with autism as well supplemental nutrition.
The training session brought together a diverse group of parents, caregivers and health professionals to address the critical aspects of nutritional needs and health management tailored specifically for children with disabilities. About 30 parents participated in interactive workshops.
