Pahalgaon/Diglipur, Aug 11: In response to the widespread attacks on minorities, in post-Hasina Bangladesh, a protest was held at Pahalgaon yesterday.
Significant crowd of protesters gathered at a place and then they took out a procession which started from Pahalgaon Gram Panchayat Junction and traversed Lal Tikrey Bazaar and then returned to Pahalgaon Gram Panchayat. The procession started at around 05:00 pm. Effigies of Muhammad Yunus, head of Bangladesh’s interim government, & Bangladesh Military heads were reportedly burnt in Lal Tikrey Bazaar. The protesters while marching shouted slogans: “Bangadeshi Hindu ke upar atyachar bandh karo”, “Bangadesh sarkar par dhikkar hai”, “Hindu dharmic stal todna bandh karo”, “Bangladesh sarkar hoshyar”, Bangladesh down down” and “Hindustan Zindabad”. The protests concluded at Lal Tikrey Bazaar at 06:00 pm, the source said.
