Port Blair, Aug 08: Inline with the mandate of NITI Aayog and in a bid to enhance digital safety and secure online environments, an awareness-cum-Sensitization programme conducted for the employees of district administration in the conference Hall of DC Office (SA) on 08th Aug, 2024.
As cyber-attacks become increasingly sophisticated and pervasive, understanding and implementing robust cyber security measures is more crucial than ever. The programme covered a range of topics, including:
• Understanding Cyber Threats: Insights into common cyber threats such as phishing, malware, ransomware, and social engineering.
• Best Practices for Online Safety: Practical tips and strategies for protecting personal and organizational data.
• Secure Use of Digital Platforms: Guidance on maintaining security across various digital platforms and devices.
• Incident Response: Steps to take in the event of a cyber-attack and how to mitigate potential damage.
• Implementation of ISMS and involvement of key stakeholders in its roll out.
The event has equipped the individuals/ employees with essential knowledge and tools to safeguard themselves against cyber threats and inculcate good cyber hygiene. Deputy Commissioner (SA) urged all the staff to follow good practices of Cyber Hygiene and keep the digital environment safe and secure.
