Port Blair, Aug 04: The District Administration, South Andaman held Camp Court at Tushnabad Community Hall, under the Chairmanship of Mr. Arjun Sharma, IAS, Deputy Commissioner (SA) who was accompanied by Mr. Vinayak Chamadia, IAS, Sub-Divisional Magistrate and other revenue field functionaries.
Various issues pertaining to development of the Gram Panchayat were brought to the notice of the Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman like development of 1.5 Km stretch road at Hobdypur, sanction of funds for repair of Ranchi Basthi Community Hall, allotment of land for functioning of Sub-Station for Electricity Department at Ograbranj, construction of mini stadium at the School Ground, proposal for construction of Shed for the Assembly Hall at Tushnabad School, shifting the Jarawa Ward from PHC Tushnabad, PCR vehicle at Tushnabad junction round the clock for law and order etc. Further, requests were made for construction of Western pattern washroom at PHC Tushnabad to falicitate the senior citizens, construction of retaining wall within the stretch of Sh. Abu Bakker’s house, at Tushnabad. The Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman assured that all matters shall be taken up at appropriate forum and shall be resolved at the earliest.
The Deputy Commissioner further informed the feneral public that the District Administration, South Andaman has integrated all Demarcation and Mutation matters through the Online system and henceforth public should avail the benefits of Online services.
The General Public brought to the notice the issue of Crocodile menace within the area. The Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman directed the Forest Department officials to implement the Barbed wire fencing within areas infected by Crocodiles
Discussions were held with PRI members for development of the Mohowa Dera Road approaching the Beach for Tourism purpose. The proposed road would generate income to the unemployed youth within the Mahatma Gandhi National Park area.
The Pradhan, Tushnabad requested the urgent need of Petrol Pump in the area, proposal for which has already been initiated.
The Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman further requested the General public and parents to keep check on use of alcohol and other Drugs from the reach of children and also requested the elders to adopt discipline with Law and order.
