Port Blair, Apr 08: In a daring rescue operation, a highly venomous King Cobra measuring 12 feet in length was captured from the Teacher’s Quarters of Navodaya School in Panchwati Village, Middle Andaman. The incident occurred in the afternoon around 4 PM on April 7, 2024, when the Wildlife Division Team of the Forest Department swiftly responded to the situation.
Led by Mr. Manjeet Singh, renowned as the “Snake Man of Andamans” and serving as the Deputy Ranger of the Wildlife unit of the Forest Department, the team successfully secured the snake. Assisted by the Wildlife Team, Mr. Singh demonstrated remarkable expertise and caution in handling the dangerous reptile.
