Port Blair, Feb 12: A one day Nagpuri Dhamaka programme was organized by Akhil Bharatiya Birsa Munda Chota Nagpuri Trust, A&N Islands at ITF Ground, Port Blair on 10th February, 2024.
In this programme, Mr. TSG Bhasker, Chairman of TSG Charitable Foundation was *invited* as Chief Guest. The tribal youths from different parts of the Islands had participated along with their cultural groups to showcase their culture and tradition.
The tribal singers from Jharkhand also presented songs and cultural dances showcasing the rich diversity of Jharkhand.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. TSG Bhasker said that such programmes will go a long way in sharing, fostering and preserving the rich traditions and cultural heritage of the country which strengthens the mutual relations.
He also announced to organize a Mega Hockey Tournament on behalf of TSG Charitable Foundation for Adivasi Youths to promote the tribal inclusiveness. He requested maximum participation of teams in the tournament.
Later, Mr. TSG Bhasker walked up to a group of youths and began dancing with them on tribal songs, matching steps with them.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Sebastian Tirkey, Secretary, Ranchi Association thanked Mr. TSG Bhasker for always standing with the Chota Nagpuri Adivasi Community of A&N Islands and showing special care towards the tribal community.
The function witnessed the participation of Mr. Fabianus Toppo, President Ranchi Association, Mr. Mohd. Zubair, Social Worker, Mr. Saji Varghese, Social Worker, Mr. Ameer Bux, Programmes Coordinator, TSG Charitable Foundation, Damri Oraon, Executive Member, RA, Mr. Baleshwar Vishwa Karma Executive Member, RA, Mr. James Barlin Lakra, Executive Member, RA, Mr. Xavier Lakra, President, Catholic Sabha, RC, Church, Port Blair, also Member of RA, Mr. Ramchandar Mahto, Executive Member, RA, Mr. Pious, Member, RA and a host of other dignitaries.
