Port Blair, Jan 23: A 3 kilometre marathon race was organized this morning by Andaman & Nicobar Jeep Driver Welfare Union, Ograbraj to commemorate the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. More than 100 youths participated in the marathon which saw active participation of both boys and girls.
The Chairman of TSG Charitable Foundation Mr. TSG Bhasker graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
He appreciated the enthusiasm and spirit of the participants and the spectators. He also handed over the prizes to the winners and runner ups of different categories.
The marathon was organized successfully with the active coordination of A&N Jeep Driver Welfare Union President Mr. Mohd. Arif, Vice-President Mr. Mohd. Safiq, Joint Secretary Mr. Anand Amrit Raj and PRI’s of the area.
Mr. TSG Bhasker along with other dignitaries including Mr. Y. Joga Rao, Councillor, Ward no. 14, Mrs. M. Rajani, Zilla Parishad Member, Mr. P.A Sharfuddin, Zilla Parishad Member, Mr. Sebastian Tirkey, Adivasi Leader and Mr. M.A Sajid, Student Leader also felicitated the Karate players who recently won Medals and brought laurels to A&N Islands in the Karate competition held at Gujarat.
