Port Blair, Dec 14: In a request to the Deputy Commissioner of N & M Andaman, the Gram Panchayat of Harinagar raised concerns over delay in distribution of LPG cylinders in villages under the Panchayat. As per reports, villages including Harinagar, Pinakinagar, Jaipur, and Kamalapur are grappling with a month-long deprivation of this essential resource.
In this regard the Pradhan of Harinagar Panchayat Mr. Manojit Halder has written a letter to the Deputy Commissioner of N & M Andaman and mentioned about a recurring issue. These villages had previously faced a similar challenge which is mainly because of poor condition of NH4.
In the letter, the Pradhan appealed to the Deputy Commissioner to intervene and ensure the timely distribution of LPG cylinders to Harinagar, Pinakinagar, Jaipur, and Kamalapur villages. He also demanded for a systematic and regular supply, ideally on a monthly basis, to ease the hardships faced by the villagers.
