Port Blair, Dec 04: In a momentous occasion, Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi graced the Navy Day event in Maharashtra’s Sindhudurg district today. The ceremony, an ode to patriotism and maritime grandeur, witnessed the Prime Minister acknowledging the unwavering dedication of our Navy personnel in safeguarding the nation.
Amidst the national celebration, there was an added source of pride for islanders as Mr. Jag Jeevan Ram, a distinguished logo designer from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, made a significant contribution. His design was chosen as the official logo for Navy Day 2023 by the Western Naval Command, infusing a touch of Andaman’s brilliance into the grand festivities.
Mr. Jag Jeevan Ram, currently serving as a Section Officer in the ICMR-RMRC, Port Blair, has garnered national and international acclaim for his artistic journey. His recent achievement includes the design of the new official logo for the Andaman Nicobar Police, launched by the Lt. Governor of Andaman Nicobar Islands.
Not confined to his official duties, Mr. Jeevan has voluntarily showcased his remarkable talent as an emblem illustrator. His portfolio boasts designs for prestigious international and national events, as well as departmental insignias.
Among his notable achievements is the design of the iconic 75 rupees coin, unveiled by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India during a historic visit to Port Blair on December 30, 1943. This coin stands as a testament to Mr. Jeevan’s exceptional creativity. Additionally, he was entrusted with designing the official insignia for the Dadra Nagar Haveli & Daman Diu Police, solidifying his reputation as a highly sought-after designer.
As Navy Day celebrations resonate across the nation, Mr. Jag Jeevan Ram’s artistic contributions stand out, adding a touch of island creativity to the grandeur of this historic event.
