Billyground neglected by Tourism Department

Billyground, Jan 09: Earlier during Island Tourism Festival every year the tourism department used to send cultural troupes and other entertainment artists to Billyground, which is said to the political capital of A & N Islands.

But it has been observed that since last three year the Tourism Department is not sending any cultural troupes to Billyground however now cultural troupes are being sent to other Islands like Rangat, Mayabunder and Diglipur.

“This is sad to note that the Tourism Department is totally neglecting Billyground area, which is the heart of North and Middle Andaman,” said an angry PRI member adding that “We will take up this matter soon with Lt. Governor.”
