Port Blair, Dec 03: If you have an account in State Bank of India then here is a news, which will certainly trouble you. According to reports many customers of SBI have found that their accounts are being operated by Ghosts.
Such reports started pouring in Andaman Sheekha office since last one week but it seems that the SBI Main Branch is still clueless.
According to information received here a SBI Account Holder of Rangat has recently found that someone in Gurgaon, Haryana has withdrawn Rs. 90,000 from his account. The account holder Mr. A Balakrishnan, S/ o A. Narayan Rao has a Saving Account in SBI Rangat (Account No. 30853655748). When on 23rd November 2012 he checked his balance it was Rs. 90,230 but to his utter dismay on 27th November 2012 when he re-checked his balance it was showing only Rs. 230/-.
When he cross-checked his bank statement it showed that someone from Dundhera, Gurgaon ATM has withdrawn Rs. 40,000 on 24.11.2012, Rs. 40,000 on 25.11.2012 and Rs. 10,000 from his account on 26.11.2012.
Another lady Mrs. Haridasi Bala who is having account at Billy ground Ac/No 30934619073 also suffered similar loss. Her husband, who is presently an Assistant Sub Inspector, had gone to Delhi for SI Training. At Delhi he suddenly received a SMS on 24 November that Rs. 19,000 and Rs. 20,000 have been withdrawn from his account by some unknown person from an ATM at Gurgaon, Haryana. There are atleast two more such incident, details of which are still awaited.
It is still now clear how some people at Gurgaon are withdrawing money from Islanders’ account.
When Andaman Sheekha Correspondent approached top officials to SBI, it was found that no one was willing to comment anything on record. The Correspondent was sent from one room to other for a comment but finally no one gave any reply. “Only Regional Manager has the authority to comment but he is out of station,” said one senior member.
However, another top official, who does not want his name to be quoted said that this could be a case of cyber crime or disclosure of PIN number.

It is easy to track them as in mainland most of the ATM have CCTV Camera , even two years back without i applied for the fresh ATM. The SBI has given me three ATM having single account and they tell me that by mistake it was sent to you and i returned one ATM and another two ATM till now i am using. The reality is that now out-sourcing people are involved in this type of racket, please do not trust any person of call center they all are not employee of SBI.
