Mayabunder, Nov 21: An Induction programme was conducted in the IGNOU study centre at MGG College, Mayabunder recently in which more than 50 students participated.
Talking to Andaman Sheekha correspondent today Dr. RN Rath, the Principal & Dr. AK Panday (IGNOU Co-ordinator)of MGG College today said that the poor students who are unable to complete their regular classes due to the financial problems or some other reasons, the MGG College has opened a Study Centre of IGNOU. This has been done so that students may build up their carrier and continue their studies too.
The principal said that the IGNOU centre of MGGC is making every effort to encourage the poor students so that maximum student can avail the facilities of IGNOU.
Further, Dr. Rath urged the PRI Members to spread awareness about IGNOU Study Centre of MGGC. Dr.Rath also added that the PRI is the only vibrant organization which could encourage the poor and deprived students by counselling them.
“I have requested Mrs. Madhuri Giri, Zillaparishad Adhyaksha, North and Middle Andaman recently to make an endeavour in this regard,” Dr. Rath added.
