Port Blair, Jan. 9: Administration of COVID precautionary vaccine dose for Healthcare and Frontline Workers and those over 60 years of age with co-morbidities will begin from tomorrow (Jan.10). The Centre has issued guidelines stating that no new registration is required to get a COVID precautionary vaccine dose. The Centre has already said that the precautionary vaccine dose will be the same vaccine as administered previously in the first two doses.
Accordingly, the A&N Administration is also geared up and all set to inoculate Healthcare, Frontline Workers & people above 60 with co-morbidities. Those completed 270 days after second dose are eligible to receive COVID precautionary vaccine dose. The beneficiaries have to bring Aadhaar Card and second dose certificate copy. The eligible population who have taken two doses of Corona vaccine can directly take an appointment or walk-in to any COVID Vaccination Centre in the Islands from 9 am to 4 pm, a press release from DHS said.
