Port Blair, Nov 25: The Andaman Law College organized a Constitution Day rally from Netaji Stadium to Andaman Law College campus with the participation of 170 students, Faculty Members & Administrative Staff to create social awareness on the importance of the Indian Constitution among the general public. Flagging off the rally, Mr Pankaj Kumar, Secretary (Law & Jail), A & N Administration & Vice-Chairman of ANILES said that the Constitution Day rally is aimed to promote & imbibe the constitutional values of Justice, Liberty, Equality & Fraternity among the different stakeholders in society. Dr. C Sathish, Principal (i/c), Andaman Law College said Constitution Day is also known as ‘Samvidhan Divas’. It is celebrated in our country on 26th November every year to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India. On 26th November 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India adopted the Constitution of India, which came into effect from 26th January 1950. Students by holding placards & raising slogans on Indian Constitution enthusiastically participated in the rally.
